A week ago, I completely weaned Claire from nursing. She was exactly 18 1/2 months old and since I'm expecting our second child in December we decided to wean her a few months before the new baby arrives. For a week or so prior to the final nursing date, we had only been nursing for five minutes a day in the morning right when she woke up. So, giving it up completely wasn't too difficult physically, just a little sad.
Claire can count to 20 now in English and in French! We are amazed by her abilities. Of course, all parents should be since we, hopefully, helped her become smart.
I understand why in my students' parents' eyes their children could do no wrong. However, a 1 year old is a lot different than a 16 year old!!!
My Shaklee business continues to move along! I'm always looking for new, interested customers and potential business colleagues, but so far, I've had more of the former. Shaklee's products are great, though, especially their vitamins, so I have no trouble recommending them to everyone!
Brian starts school at the end of September. It'll be good for him to go, but a little harder this time around with a child and another on the way. We'll support him though as he supports us in many ways!
I'm looking forward the the changing colors of the leaves and cooler temperatures! I turn 30 in October and I'm looking forward to that too!

I was a French teacher for four years, a life-long dream achieved. Now, I'm taking a serious break to raise a family. I go to a United Methodist Church regularly with my husband, daughter and son. For my future ideal job, I'd love to travel the world eating in great restaurants and write food reviews!!! Someday I'd like to live on the Oregon Coast and be a translator for French tourists! However, in the meantime I'm earning a substantial income with Jewels by Park Lane, subbing & Shaklee!
